Abstract:
Due to the increasing density and presence of cars in crowded areas, noise pollution is one of the
serious problems today. In the direction of sustainable urban development, the confrontation
with this problem is felt more than before. According to the theoretical foundations in this
research, in the first step, descriptive-analytical method has been studied in previous research
studies on reducing noise pollution and green walls. In the second stage, the construction and
simulation of a pattern of green cover using natural greenhouse and artificial plants as sound
insulation has been done and then tested to reduce noise pollution. To obtain data on the
effectiveness of plant sound insulation, the 1150tes sound level gauge was used and measured at
different points and distances. Using analytical software, the data are analyzed and the results
show that green walls have a positive effect on preventing the penetration or reflection of noise
pollution into the environment and the use of natural plants wider and larger than Artificial
vegetation performs better. The use of vegetation in green walls for urban design reduces
environmental damage.
